Red Bull junior Nikola Tsolov is set to compete in the final two rounds of the 2025 Formula 2 season. Tsolov will replace Spanish driver Pepe Martí — who has signed with the Cupra Kiro Formula E team for next season — for the Qatar and Abu Dhabi rounds in F2.

TWG Motorsports CEO Dan Towriss confirmed Saturday that Colton Herta will race in Formula 2 in 2026. The details are not yet known on what seat Herta will have. But Towriss said he wants Herta to have "every chance possible" to reach his Formula 1 dream.

Rovanpera will begin his switch to circuit racing by competing in Japan’s Super Formula series next year, and hopes to then graduate to Formula 2 in 2027. To prepare for the huge transition, Rovanpera climbed aboard a Hitech Grand Prix F2 car for some valuable seat time.
