Golf Channel’s programming is starting to take on a new look and feel under its USA Sports division. USA Sports was involved in the recently renewed USGA rights deal, is bringing back the “ Big Break ” next year and is creating the new “ Optum Golf Channel Games ” set for December.

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU men’s golf program is signing Austin Randall, Head Coach Jake Amos announced on Thursday. The second and final signee of the 2025 National Signing Day class, Randall reigns from Prosper, Texas, and was part of the Walnut Grove HS state champion team in 2025.

Golf Channel first became the exclusive cable broadcasting partner of the PGA Tour in 2007 and that has yet to change. In 2021, the Tour re-upped with the Golf Channel through 2030. This past summer, Versant also renewed a deal with the USGA to maintain the rights to both the men's and women's U.S. Open Championships through 2032.

The Pac-12 has found another media partner in USA Sports, which announced it will televise 22 football games, 50 men’s basketball games and up to 10 women’s basketball games beginning next year

Versant, the owner of NBCUniversal cable networks being spun off from Comcast, will use USA Sports as its main brand for sports programming.
