It must withstand 125 kN of force, which equals 12 tonnes — about the weight of a London double-decker bus. In testing, a 20 kg tire is fired at the halo at around 225 km/h (140 mph) — the same as shown in your image. The halo passes that test without breaking or bending into the driver’s survival space.
